| Both of my books to date have
focused on bridging the
traditional gap that has existed between the church we attend on Sunday
and the workplace we report to on Monday.
I'm a firm believer in living your faith 24/7. If we want to know the full joy that comes from walking with God in this life, we cannot compartmentalize our lives between the secular and the spiritual. Unfortunately, many people find it extremely difficult to achieve alignment between what they believe and what they do for a living. Few employers want to help, primarily due to unfounded fears about giving offense or breaking the law. The church, on the other hand, hasn't been particularly helpful either. Most churches have specialized ministries for every group from the young to the addicted. I have yet to discover one, however, who has a ministry for working Christians. Both of these books are an attempt to fill that void. Each, from a slightly different perspective, offers a prescription for viewing your work in a more biblical light. Doing so will relieve much of the stress you currently experience on the job and will provide you with fresh insight on how to achieve your career ambitions. Take God to Work has the more personal focus of the two. It doesn't matter what job you hold at what level of the organization. It's prescription for a fulfilling, stress-free job experience is universal. The Ultimate MBA focuses more on the successful and fulfilling conduct of business. It's more appropriate for small business owners, managers, and executives, aspiring or accomplished. Click on either cover to learn more. |
